It wasn’t terrible, but it wasn’t great either; it was simply unremarkable. Emma Roberts and Luke Bracey have decent chemistry together, with Roberts being the more memorable performer. The story they're in has potential, and I don’t really find fault with *Holidate* itself—it’s acceptable. However, it doesn’t quite come together or offer enough to keep you engaged; there are a few laughs sprinkled throughout, but not close to being sufficient. The conclusion also felt awkward and overly sentimental.
