It's a pleasant, small-scale horror film that takes place around Halloween. Adam Scott plays an author struggling with writer’s block who is attempting to finish the last book in a series. He goes to an old hotel in Ireland, where his parents had their honeymoon, to scatter their remains. During his stay, he's often impolite toward others; at one point, he even burns a bellboy’s hand after the young man, who admires him and hopes for a review of his writing, approaches him. The story has some unexpected developments, and I found myself enjoying the way it unfolds, with Adam Scott delivering a dependable performance. If you enjoy horror movies, this is worth checking out.
