This film continues the story as another action comedy, and it’s fairly standard in its approach. The runtime is padded with familiar elements, repeated throughout in different forms. What was once clever dialogue has been substituted with coarse language; a compelling storyline is missing, replaced by tired tropes; and any feeling of anticipation is gone, swapped out for action set pieces (which rely on computer-generated imagery to keep expenses down and ensure safety). There are references to unrelated series, and the movie moves along at a steady clip, but there’s no building tension even though an entire landmass needs to be destroyed. The narrative doesn't make much sense, nor do the characters have any real development—though it does deliver a significant amount of humor. Unfortunately, the style of comedy isn't really for me; however, others will likely find it very funny and enjoy themselves immensely. View with caution: if you pick any two-minute segment at random, that small piece represents what the whole movie is like.
