Let me offer a warning: steer clear of this movie; it’s a complete waste of your time. Consider sequels to beloved films—there are certainly examples that defy the common notion that follow-ups inevitably disappoint. However, there's also a substantial collection of movies that reinforce that belief. This film unquestionably belongs among the worst sequels ever made! “Highlander” had its flaws (which I detailed in my previous review), but it still managed to entertain and provide enjoyment for viewers. This film disregards everything that worked about the original, goes against its narrative, and delivers ninety minutes of nonsense. It incorporates ridiculous elements like a threat of extinction due to ozone depletion and brings back characters who supposedly died in the first movie, claiming they originated from another dimension created specifically for this purpose! Those who enjoyed the initial film understandably reacted negatively, effectively pushing it into obscurity. I suspect everyone involved—from the director to the cast—would rather forget this embarrassing experience, all for a paycheck. Sean Connery seems to be mocking his own persona, and Christopher Lambert feels forced and unconvincing in his aged appearance. Despite the presence of other recognizable actors, not one performance justifies enduring the unpleasantness of watching it... and trust me, I watched the whole thing and honestly believe I could have had a more worthwhile experience watching “Teletubbies.”
