The poster is strange, but the movie itself was enjoyable. There are definitely dance films that are far worse out there; it used to be a popular genre, but now most of them aren’t particularly memorable. Considering that, this one felt like a welcome change – it's well-made. When people think of dance movies, they usually anticipate spectacular choreography and music, however, here those elements were presented in a more straightforward way. They didn’t lean heavily into either street dancing or classical ballet; instead, there was a blend of the two styles, accompanied by live music, primarily featuring violin. I'm unfamiliar with any of the actors or the director, but it doesn’t appear to be a low-budget or independent production because the overall quality is quite high. The plot is somewhat predictable, but still pleasant, largely due to its roughly ninety-minute runtime. It moves along at a good pace and features strong performances, music, and dance sequences, which could easily make this the best dance film of the year. This isn't just for younger audiences; it’s something that people of all ages can appreciate. The content is mature, maintaining a sense of propriety in both the dialogue and visuals – there’s nothing inappropriate to be found. It would make a perfect PG movie; whether or not everyone will like it, they are certain to be entertained. Despite its many strengths, I didn't love it completely. Some moments felt unrealistic, as if they weren’t quite believable in a real-world setting. I recommend seeing it, but don’t go in expecting any major plot twists or surprises; it’s genuinely a good film. _6/10_
