It's easy to dismiss this Korean superhero film because of its unappealing title and cheap-looking promotional artwork, but doing so would be a mistake — it’s genuinely entertaining, and I enjoyed myself much more than I have with many recent movies from DCU and MCU. I was surprised by how often I laughed throughout the movie. The characters are also wonderfully charming—a quality that many expensive superhero films still can't seem to achieve—and you really like being around them during the quieter moments between action sequences. It’s obvious that it didn’t cost as much to make as Hollywood blockbusters, and some of the special effects show that (the visuals are closer in style to Kung Fu Hustle than Marvel productions). However, the action is creative, lively, and so enjoyable that you can easily overlook any imperfections. The ending, especially, is a highlight—it provides the kind of satisfying conclusion that DCU and MCU films frequently miss the mark on. To be frank, I’d gladly watch more adventures featuring these characters, putting aside my interest in Marvel and DC.
