This is a solid horror film. I thought the first portion was particularly effective, but I began to lose interest somewhat in the later stages, and the final moments felt a little disappointing. Nevertheless, it’s remarkable at establishing a disturbing atmosphere for the narrative—there were several instances that genuinely caught me off guard. Toni Collette delivers an outstanding performance; I can't find any fault with it—truly excellent! Gabriel Byrne, Alex Wolff, and Milly Shapiro also deserve recognition. They all contribute significantly to the story’s vitality and realism, even as it moves toward its more unusual resolution.
