It's certainly not a masterpiece, though the actors were appropriately selected and gave solid performances. The film’s aim appears to be simply providing an enjoyable action experience, perhaps with more brutality than some viewers will appreciate. Regardless, credit should be given for presenting a relatable Hercules—not a divine being, but rather someone crafted into a hero through marketing efforts destined to create a legend over time.
