It’s never too late to find love! Considering its one million dollar budget, the fact that filming took less than a month, and the cast wasn't particularly well-known, I think this film turned out remarkably well. It received positive reviews, people seemed to enjoy it, and it performed surprisingly well financially given how little money was spent. The story really appealed to me; while straightforward, reminiscent of "Harold and Maude," it featured mature characters and thoughtfully developed themes. It felt like the character of Doris was practically written for Sally Field, and she was wonderful alongside the rest of the supporting actors. She portrays a sixty-year-old woman who falls for a younger man newly hired at her workplace, and the film then shows how their story unfolds with many funny moments. The music was good, as were Doris’s vibrant costumes. I do wonder how much longer we'll continue seeing older men paired with younger women in movies; this role reversal felt fresh compared to those familiar tropes and was quite enjoyable overall. It’s a charming romantic drama from 2015 that I would recommend if you want something lighthearted. 7/10
