The narrative and central idea are exceptionally strong. Considering what it set out to be, this movie was executed remarkably well, featuring some genuinely unsettling and captivating scenes. While simple in its approach, every element felt deliberately utilized; the unfolding events were presented with a distinct visual flair. I don’t believe the subsequent installments measure up to the quality of this initial version, but they are still worth seeing.
