The premise revolves around a father’s frantic efforts to secure funds for his daughter's medical treatment! Despite sharing visual similarities with 'Speed', the narrative diverged significantly and proved acceptable. Coming from the director of ‘The Tournament,’ it featured a respectable cast, though De Niro’s appearance felt like a letdown; however, considering his age, it wasn’t entirely unsatisfactory. Jeffrey Dean Morgan delivered a solid performance, but because much of the action unfolded on a moving bus, this became more of a crime-thriller with action elements rather than a vehicle for acting. The plot follows a father who requires a substantial amount of money to pay for his daughter's surgery and consequently decides to rob the casino where he’s employed—a plan that goes awry, leaving him on a bus filled with hostages. Pursued by both the casino’s security personnel and law enforcement, he finds himself cornered without an apparent means of escape, leading up to a reasonably satisfying final scene. I had initially believed Gina Carano, after her work in 'Haywire', could become a prominent female action star, but I was let down by how things progressed for her. Her part in this film didn't do her justice either. The story proved the movie’s strongest asset, though attentive viewers might anticipate certain moments. It was skillfully filmed with commendable production values—a blend of established stars and lower-budget filmmaking. There are far worse movies out there, so it ended up being a fairly enjoyable, if quickly forgotten, experience. 6/10
