Despite its devoted following and status as a beloved classic, this film didn’t resonate with me since I came to it without any prior experience. Certain aspects of the animation were appealing, but others, specifically the "Harry Canyon" segment, didn't do much for me—though oddly enough, that was my favorite part; it brought The Fifth Element to mind. The remaining segments were acceptable, though not particularly memorable, and while “Taarna” had visually striking elements, I’d lost interest by then. Perhaps if I’d seen this in the late eighties or early nineties, I would feel a stronger connection to it, but as it stands now, I'm unsure about wanting to watch it again. **3.0/5**
