This is the movie that ended the Heartstopper series. I know that this will probably not be a popular opinion, but I actually found the movie a bit disappointing. I thought that much of it was boring and instead of trying to give a well-rounded ending to the characters, it fell flat. I won't spoil anything about the details, but basically it turns out that Nick had his own issues that he never dealt with and about 98% of the movie deals with that. Most of the scenes with him and Charlie were pointless and/or depressing. Honestly, I'm glad they did this at the end of the series because if they had started off with this movie, I wouldn't have been interested enough to watch the series. For such a powerful and impactful series to come to a close on such a boring, mostly one-sided note, it was a letdown.
