It's an acceptable film, though I doubt I’ll revisit it, and I don’t feel comfortable suggesting it to others. If you appreciated "The Hustle," "Ocean's 8" (or perhaps even "Ocean's Eleven"), this could be right up your alley. Because I tend not to care for films about criminal schemes unless they have a strong secondary purpose, I view this as a romantic comedy with an added element. As a romantic comedy, Jennifer Love Hewitt and Jason Lee deliver solid performances in their on-again, off-again romance; Jason Lee mostly seems bewildered by everything that's happening, while Jennifer Love Hewitt is largely portrayed as being somewhat unpleasant. Conversely, Sigourney Weaver, Gene Hackman, and Ray Liotta present a more complex, interwoven romantic storyline that leans toward the heist genre rather than conventional love stories. This film stands out as either a romantic comedy with an unusual twist or a hustle movie with a unique perspective, but there are other films that achieve this just as well, if not better. I believe the target audience for this will be those seeking movies centered on female empowerment, and it fits comfortably within that category.
