I thought *Heartbreak Ridge* was a pretty solid war movie and I got quite a bit of enjoyment from it. Clint Eastwood, as expected, delivers the strongest performance among the actors, although I appreciated the supporting players—particularly Mario Van Peebles, Boyd Gaines, and Arlen Dean Snyder. The storyline is predictable in its direction, but still entertaining and keeps you engaged. The music doesn't really make much of an impression, except for a single segment roughly halfway through that I found appealing. Certain lines feel awkward, yet there are some memorable quips delivered by Mr. Eastwood.
