The film *Haunt* initially attempts to create an unsettling atmosphere with images of haunted house employees in clown masks. The clowns simply remain motionless, creating a sense of foreboding—though without actually being frightening. Harper is presented as someone the audience should connect with, and generally she’s easy to root for. Her boyfriend appears and disappears throughout the film, ultimately meeting a violent end—apparently intended to elicit viewer animosity. It essentially serves to increase the number of victims. Watching this felt appropriate given that it's Halloween season, since it's positioned as a Halloween-themed movie. It’s not terrible, but it lacks scares and feels like an average horror film.
