A truly excellent film that I’d gladly watch again and suggest to others. I consider this to be among the most original and captivating science fiction action movies I've encountered. The decision to present the entire story from a first-person viewpoint is an impressive accomplishment in itself. If you pay close attention, the editing is remarkably seamless; it’s often difficult to detect where cuts occur. There are moments of lost awareness, but those instances stand out more clearly. Because this film utilizes a "First Person" perspective, Andrei Dementiev essentially propels the narrative through the camera lens. However, Sharlto Copley ("District 9") provides a recurring character who significantly advances the plot, functioning as the traditional lead in contrast to the silent camera. Danila Kozlovsky and Haley Bennett also deliver strong supporting performances. A potential issue with the central character possessing extraordinary abilities is the necessity for balancing drawbacks so that their power can grow to equal or surpass the antagonist's by the film’s conclusion; this movie adheres to that principle in a clever and surprising way, although those familiar with "Crank 2: High Voltage" might anticipate it. The approach undeniably enhances immersion and enjoyment, and there is also a very well-crafted story unfolding.
