It's _Chronicle_ blended with _Shoot 'Em Up_. I decided to watch _Hardcore Henry_ because of a Payday 2 promotion, but honestly, I’d already been intrigued by it beforehand; it seemed like something different. And those kinds of movies don’t come around very often these days. Going in, I didn't know much about the film, and that turned out to be ideal. The main thing you should understand is that it's violent and completely filmed from a first-person viewpoint. If you can deal with both of those elements, then I really suggest you check out _Hardcore Henry_. I get why some viewers might not like this kind of movie, but I’m not going to argue that it deserves an Academy Award. However, as a release for pent-up emotions, it's fantastic; and as a knowingly funny dark comedy, it's even better. There were more moments where I was laughing out loud than in any other film I’ve seen all year, and the person who saw it with me felt the same way. It's not for everyone, but if you have similar tastes to mine, you should give it a try. _Final rating:★★★½ - You really ought to find some time to see this._
