This film, John Woo’s final Hong Kong production before relocating to America, is an unrelenting action and crime story centered on two police officers caught up in a large-scale drug conflict. The movie features some truly remarkable stunts, including an extended continuous shooting sequence that lasts almost five minutes. Chow Yun-Fat and Tony Leung both deliver powerful performances, and the sheer number of characters who meet their end is astonishing.
