_Happy New Year_, featuring Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone, Abhishek Bachchan, Boman Grover, Sonu Sood, and Vivaan Shah, aims to provide laughs. Farah Khan directed the film; she’s only made four movies, but SRK has been in three of them, and each time it's become a huge success! _Happy New Year_ even surpassed Dhoom 3's first weekend record and reached 100 crore during its opening weekend, which is quite an accomplishment for a Bollywood film. The story revolves around Charlie’s quest for revenge; his father was killed by Charan Grover, played by Jackie Shroff. He devises a plan to steal diamonds from the “Shalimar Vault,” which can only be opened using Charan Grover and his son Vicky Grover's fingerprints. To gain access, they must enter a dance competition called the WDC (World Dance Championship). The reason for their participation, Charlie’s team being entered into the WDC, and whether or not they succeed in stealing the diamonds are all revealed through watching the movie! But is this 3-hour heist thriller worth your time? Absolutely! Despite its length, the film keeps you entertained. It's funny and unlike anything else. The initial portion is humorous with plenty of laugh-out-loud moments, while the second half shines. The heist sequence itself was also excellent. Shah Rukh Khan delivers a standout performance; it seemed like an easy role for someone with his talent. The others did a good job too, particularly Abhishek Bachchan as Nandu Bhide (who played a double role), who was very funny. SRK and Deepika’s chemistry is sizzling once again. It's a fun and enjoyable film overall. Just relax and prepare to laugh! I would rate it 7/10.
