There’s absolutely nothing fresh or inventive about this film. It adheres precisely to the formula of every found footage stalker movie, only in a more basic form. A storyline that could be told in around thirty minutes—perhaps forty at most—is padded out to eighty-one minutes with mundane scenes depicting the family's everyday routines, making it tedious rather than frightening. The performances are passable; the actors do portray a believable family dynamic. The stalker appears sporadically and seems odd, which is appropriate, I suppose. I just checked the credits and was taken aback to see Amy Smart’s name among them, although it doesn't change the fact that her presence is negligible—she’s in only one scene, seated at a table with the "hidden camera" positioned very far away. So, if seeing her is your motivation for watching this movie, don’t trouble yourself. But honestly, there isn't any compelling reason to watch it at all.
