This movie tells a story about fitting in, and while centered on gay characters, the themes resonate with anyone experiencing new surroundings and feeling like an outsider. The narrative follows two students sharing a room—one a popular athlete, the other socially isolated—who develop an unexpected connection. Two aspects stand out: the way sports are portrayed as something beneficial, even if it's not straightforward; and the depiction of characters who begin with animosity but ultimately re-evaluate their views to embrace a relationship that initially faces disapproval. Fionn O’Shea and Nicholas Galitzine deliver good performances, supported by Andrew Scott, all anchored by a believable script which makes for a worthwhile drama.
