This seventh chapter of the Michael Myers story ("Halloween Resurrection," released in 2002), which doesn't include "Season of the Witch" and marked a pause in the franchise until the rebooted films, draws considerable criticism for its initial scenes and the appearance of Busta Rhymes. Despite that, it’s watchable and noticeably better than “Halloween: The Curse of Michael Myers” from 1995. However, the film feels lacking in originality and leans toward a cartoonish style, with several moments feeling overused or easy to anticipate. The cast includes Donna as Daisy McCrackin, Katee Sackhoff as Jen, Bianca Kajlich as Sara, and Tyra Banks as Nora. The premise of attractive women appearing in a neglected house and subsequently meeting their end echoes "Death Tunnel" (2005), though lacking that film’s visual flair—and costing $11.5 million more—plus “Death Tunnel” has better actresses, too. When considering the earlier films, "Halloween 4" (1988) stands out as the most enjoyable, with "Halloween 5" (1989) and “H20” (1998) following closely behind. The film’s length is 1 hour and 34 minutes; filming primarily took place around Vancouver, British Columbia, with the Hillcrest Academy scenes filmed at Silver Lake in Los Angeles. GRADE: C
