_Halloween Ends_ delivers on its pledge to conclude the story of Laurie Strode. It feels like a new, hasty, and somewhat careless iteration of The Shape is given focus, only to be quickly dismissed before Laurie and Michael have their final confrontation. While there are moments of enjoyment mixed with frustration, _Halloween Ends_ takes a circuitous, violent path toward its conclusion, which ultimately proves largely agreeable even though it includes some bold, perhaps undervalued, diversions.
