The film’s script is truly excellent; it ranks among my most cherished movies, and I find myself tearing up every time I watch it. Inspired by actual events, the story centers on a dog who repeatedly returns to the train station, awaiting his owner, who passed away from a heart attack—an event that makes his return impossible. He eventually becomes something of a landmark at the station, and people organize fundraising efforts to support his care. It's a heartwarming tale, but be sure to have lots of tissues on hand because you’ll likely shed some tears. It has earned its place as a classic.
