Gunpowder Milkshake delivers a visually striking experience that’s full of action, violence, and unexpected humor. The fight scenes felt like a blend of John Wick and Jackie Chan’s signature moves. Director Navot Papushado and cinematographer Michael Seresin managed to elevate an otherwise ordinary story into something truly entertaining with their creative choices. They made excellent use of camera work and lighting. Everything from the music selection to the color grading, costumes, makeup, set design, and overall feel was exceptionally well done. A particular scene in a library stood out, especially the way literary references were incorporated into the weaponry. It brought back memories of John Wick. While the plot itself wasn’t groundbreaking and felt somewhat familiar at times, the direction and cinematography helped to make it more engaging. The humorous moments during the action sequences also left a lasting impression. I would definitely recommend seeing this film.
