_Grimsby_ has its bright spots, certainly (though I’d stress the “some”). I chuckled on two occasions—a third laugh was prevented because it had already appeared in the promotional material—and there are a few action scenes that work reasonably well, especially when Mark Strong is directing them. However, I didn't enjoy the film overall. It frequently feels carelessly made, and what’s presented as “humor” leans heavily toward crude gags. The approach seems to be something like "HEY LOOK AT THIS! HEY LOOK AT THAT! PAY US!". I have to say, this is a first for me; I've never encountered a movie that attempts to blend football hooliganism, espionage, action-thriller elements, adult comedy, and family drama. _Final rating:★★ - There were aspects I appreciated, but the end result was disappointing._
