I went into _Grave Encounters_ with very little knowledge of it, and it seemed like something I would normally skip. Truthfully, the only reason I ended up watching was because of a suggestion I found online when asking for recommendations for good movies from 2011. It wasn't a film that completely won me over. However, I’m really happy I decided to watch it. If more Found Footage Horror films were made with the same approach, perhaps I wouldn’t dislike the genre so much. Despite having several issues with the movie, I would still place this one closer in quality to _The Last Exorcism_ and _The Blair Witch Project_ than most of what's out there. _Final rating:★★½ - It had a lot going for it, but didn’t quite come together._
