While I can acknowledge that the initial _Grave Encounters_ is arguably superior, this sequel still managed to generate enthusiasm for the series. It's true that the final section closely resembles and doesn't improve upon the first film, but _Grave Encounters 2_ attempts some fresh approaches, not only within this particular set of movies, but also in the broader landscape of Found Footage Horror. Final rating:★★½ - There was a lot here that I found appealing, though it didn’t fully succeed as an entire experience.
