Gran Turismo proved to be a genuinely delightful surprise this year! The experience was heightened because I didn’t know anything about the real-life story that inspired it; discovering those details as the film unfolded made it incredibly captivating and thrilling. The score, composed by Lorne Balfe and Andrew Kawczynski, is full of high-octane music that turns every race into a truly entertaining spectacle. David Harbour delivers an outstanding performance, fully invested in his part to such an extent that, if awards season were beginning now, without the usual promotional push, he’d likely be among the top contenders. I would advise against looking up any information about the actual events beforehand, even just to bypass what you'd expect from a movie of this kind—a standard, predictable plot. Rating: B+
