I was really into the _Goosebumps_ books as a kid—the TV show wasn’t quite as good, but I still liked it. A child seeing this version now, around the age I was when I first encountered those stories, might find it entertaining. However, for my tastes, it just didn't click. I ended up enjoying it more than I anticipated, though; the previews had set my expectations incredibly low, so that’s not a huge endorsement really. Final rating:★★ - It wasn’t for me, but I can see why some people might like it.
