The presence of a “No Fishing” sign doesn’t deter Goofy and his grasshopper companion, Wilbur, from attempting to reel in some fish. Wilbur serves as bait to attract the fish, and initially, it appears their plan is working—but for how long before the fish decide to swim away from the dog and his ever-more-confident little buddy? The animation delivers a well-coordinated series of action sequences involving increasingly threatening fish, a mischievous insect, and even a hungry frog. Goofy takes center stage alongside the other characters in what becomes a more developed and enjoyably soundtracked narrative.
