The movie explores how people behave when their marriages fall apart and they're trying to find a way forward. There aren't any well-known actors either in front of or behind the camera. The story focuses on the impact of separation on children, which is a worthwhile perspective, even if the film itself isn’t particularly insightful for every viewer. The plot centers around a husband who is shocked when his wife announces she wants a divorce and attempts to change her mind, but fails. Considering they generally have a good relationship, the situation seems easily resolvable. They then each try to move on; the father in particular seeks out relationships with various women he knows. What they don’t realize is that their young daughter is struggling as a result of the separation. The film follows where things go from there. For a first-time director, this isn't an unsuccessful effort—a modest, concise movie with a straightforward narrative and good intentions. However, it often feels like the focus is on avoiding being alone, which manifests as dating and sexual encounters. Only near the end does the story attempt to shift its direction, where the plot aligns with the film’s title. The acting is quite good, especially Paul Schneider's performance; he’s usually seen in smaller roles. It’s probably worth seeing if you don’t feel obligated to. _6/10_
