It was enjoyable, something I’d be willing to watch again, and I feel comfortable suggesting it to others. My experience with this one was lessened because I had already heard a podcast talking about the true events behind it, as well as a comedic take on the same material. Knowing the plot beforehand, due to those prior exposures, took away some of the surprise—which is often the case when adapting real-life stories. I’m glad Iliza's story was brought to the screen, though; there was definitely potential to make it something truly wild and over-the-top. ("Tusk" also drew inspiration from a podcast discussion, and I’m still anticipating "Moose Jaws"—it's “Jaws,” but with a moose—so you never know.) I would classify this as a wonderful movie for women, an inspiring story about female strength, and a unique entry into…well, I’m not sure what to call it, perhaps an “anti-romantic comedy”? I really hope we see more films built around a similar concept.
