It seems like we’ve encountered this story before. The film centers on three inexperienced sixth-graders attempting to reach their first kissing party, but their journey takes unexpected turns. It feels reminiscent of "Superbad," only with a younger cast. The kids find themselves in various absurd situations—acquiring drugs, dealing with a sex doll—which elicit only occasional chuckles. My biggest issue is the lack of originality; it’s essentially a copy of another film. “Superbad” works better, likely because its characters possess a certain level of understanding. These younger characters seem to know very little about how things work, and this point is constantly emphasized. I reached a point where I just wanted to give up and acknowledge that the joke had been made. Furthermore, the characters don’t undergo any real growth; they remain as inexperienced at the film's conclusion as they were in the beginning. Consequently, what we have isn't simply a rehash of "Superbad," but one that feels repetitive. There are moments when it can be charming, but ultimately, there’s no learning or development for the characters, and watching this movie doesn’t add anything meaningful to life. It serves as a brief distraction, nothing more. See it if you like, or don't—but if you have other options, they’re probably worth your time.
