Growing up, I had a huge interest in dinosaurs, so naturally, Godzilla (1998) meant a lot to me. When I first saw it, I thought it was an exciting experience with impressive giant monsters and large-scale destruction of urban areas. Looking back at this film from my childhood, though, I have to see it differently now. The biggest letdown for me was the way Godzilla looked. It strayed considerably from what people were used to, and didn't quite live up to expectations in terms of being true to the character. It’s not a particularly well-made film, but it provides some entertainment; I’d give it a 6/10.
