I thought *Gladiator II* was fantastic! It’s funny, I didn't see the first movie until about three years ago, but I’ve been looking forward to this one ever since I really liked Russell Crowe’s film. To be honest, I think I might have even enjoyed this sequel a bit more—at least it's just as good, in my opinion. It is noticeable that Crowe isn't around, but everyone involved does a great job of compensating for his absence. This marks the first time I’ve seen Paul Mescal perform, even though I’ve heard about him for some time now. I was really impressed with what he brought to the role; it was quite powerful. Pedro Pascal is also very good, and so is Joseph Quinn—I wasn't completely convinced when he first appeared, but ultimately I thought his performance was excellent. Denzel Washington... that guy is just incredible. I’ll always want to see him act. Naturally, since he’s one of my top two favorite actors, I loved his part from beginning to end. Fred Hechinger and Connie Nielsen also deserve recognition, and it was interesting to spot Rory McCann and Matt Lucas in the cast as well. And the music... absolutely amazing! It's huge and really impactful.
