It was at least an attempt to do something new. Netflix’s willingness to take chances on lesser-known filmmakers and performers is admirable. Not everything they produce connects with audiences, but it's a departure from what other studios typically offer. That's why I decided to watch this one, and while I appreciate the effort, it ultimately felt pretty ordinary. The final scene—the part involving the homeless person—was genuinely good, though. The movie centers on a well-known greeting card writer and chronicles his professional setbacks. As he tries to revive his career, he encounters various difficulties, including an unforeseen romantic relationship and a commitment made to a wealthy individual. Throughout the film, they maintain a certain pace around these events, which gives the impression of deliberate pacing because the entire story seems reliant on them. It's worth seeing for Bob Odenkirk’s performance; the other actors were perfectly acceptable as well. Despite the premise—something about a writer, almost like a poet—the film doesn’t really show us how talented he is at his craft. It’s not a movie that provides many specifics and should be viewed without high hopes; otherwise, you might regret choosing to watch it. _5/10_
