Stories centered on disputes over child custody are common, and many excellent examples exist. This entry into that familiar territory is another worthwhile one, though not particularly unique. It’s straightforward and heartfelt. While the characters offer a slight variation on the usual tropes, the courtroom elements provide an engaging focus for the drama. The plot revolves around an uncle who unexpectedly becomes his niece's guardian after her mother passes away. The young girl, seven years old, demonstrates exceptional mathematical abilities inherited from her mother. He desires for her to experience a typical childhood, which is also what her mother would have wanted. However, upon discovering the child’s talent, the grandmother seeks legal intervention to ensure she receives the resources necessary to cultivate it, given her considerable wealth. The girl finds herself caught in the middle of this adult conflict, and the unfolding narrative emphasizes the emotional toll. I've never been keen on Captain America; he isn’t a defender of Earth or my nation. Aside from that, Chris Evans isn’t typically considered a major box office draw. Nevertheless, his performance here was quite impressive. The young actress also shone; I recall seeing her previously in 'Mr Church'. It’s well-crafted both in terms of writing and direction, making it easily one of the strongest dramas released this year. It carries a positive message, and families would likely appreciate watching it together. _8/10_
