It definitely leaned into nostalgia, which was welcome since I got to witness the original characters at the film’s conclusion. Considering the other installments in this series, I found myself enjoying this one quite a bit, particularly because the younger actors weren't overly irritating. I have to confess that I nearly shed a tear when I listened to the Ecto-1 siren. Seriously. The computer-generated version of Egon wasn’t awful either; it was certainly an improvement over what happened in 2016, which felt like something out of a terrible parallel reality. **3.5/5**
