The initial concept proved captivating, and I must say, I was quite surprised by this movie. The way it combines horror and humor works exceptionally well. However, Joko Anwar’s handling of the story falters somewhat in the final section; it diminishes in effectiveness. Furthermore, the political commentary and deeper meanings come across a little too directly. It felt rather unsubtle, resembling more of an announcement than anything else. That being said, I have to acknowledge how remarkable the film's unsettling aspects are. It’s not often you encounter something that can simultaneously provoke revulsion and fascination—the atmosphere of unease is truly memorable.
