The film Get Out would be flawless were it not reliant on a Black versus White racial dynamic. Even with the occasionally jarring, overt displays of racism, the storyline is remarkably clever and engaging due to its exploration of manipulating the human mind in ways unseen elsewhere. It’s worth watching for those who favor thoughtful science fiction horror over predictable frights and loud noises.
