It’s weirdly enjoyable! The reason I say that is because *Get Out* establishes the initial situation so effectively, and you’re constantly anticipating a realization, which means everything leading up to it feels really uncomfortable—and that only enhances the pleasure of watching it all play out. I'd seen Daniel Kaluuya in several movies (though not as many as I probably should have), and he always seemed like a dependable actor, but his work here is truly remarkable—particularly how much he conveys through just his expressions. It’s an amazing performance! Allison Williams also made an impact on me; I hadn't been familiar with her previously, but she seems very believable, even knowing what was going to happen with her character. Lil Rel Howery is good in a role providing comic relief, which isn't exactly new territory for him. I appreciate *Nope*, but this film surpasses it, and I really need to watch *Us* eventually so that I can experience everything Jordan Peele has created.
