It’s possible that all the buildup leading up to seeing _Get Out_ affected my reaction, because it didn't quite live up to expectations or connect with me as much as it seemed to with others. Regardless, I was still very favorably impressed by Jordan Peele’s first time directing a film. It manages to be unsettling and humorous at the same time, blending realistic elements with bizarre situations. And its originality is remarkable. There were moments where the plot didn't quite make sense, leaving me puzzled, but on balance, it's a strong work, and I am eager to see what Peele does in the future. _Final rating:★★★½ - You should definitely try to watch it._
