Peele has created a truly remarkable film here. It’s intelligent and aware of itself, playing with the audience as it hints at what's coming in the final moments. A photographer travels to his girlfriend's home to meet her family, who are all white. Initially, everything seems normal, but gradually it becomes increasingly clear that they’re concealing something. As the story develops, the carefully constructed image of a perfect household starts to unravel. I won’t reveal any more, but the final section is very well done. It felt like every scene had purpose and nothing was unnecessary or poorly executed. The actors deliver wonderful performances across the board, the visuals are striking, and the lighting is also noteworthy. If you enjoy horror comedies, definitely check this out; it deserves your support.
