This is an agreeable film, though it’s unlikely I’ll revisit it, and I can suggest it, especially to those who are younger. The plot draws inspiration from Nancy Drew—the name is even mentioned humorously at one point—but isn't actually that series. It works well as a story about growing up and figuring out who you are while solving a puzzle; there are some amusing moments, but the setup involves privileged young people experiencing life outside of their comfortable bubble for the first time. Unfortunately, Lindsey Lohan essentially holds the entire movie together; she delivers a strong performance, but other performers had an opportunity to shine that they simply didn't seize. It’s not poorly made, however, there are numerous other mystery films available, and I would suggest “Nancy Drew” starring Emma Roberts or "Nancy Drew and the Hidden Staircase" with Sophia Lillis instead of this one.
