It felt like the filmmakers depended too heavily on special effects to carry the film, and honestly, I couldn't get through more than about ten minutes of it. As someone who enjoys science fiction and fantasy, this should have been right up my alley, but it just didn’t work for me. The performances were mediocre, the story was underdeveloped; they had a concept, pursued it, but there wasn't really a plot to speak of.
