It's truly disheartening. My issue stems from the promotional materials; the trailer and cover art lead you to believe it’s a large-scale, effects-driven disaster movie. That assumption would be incorrect. The majority of what suggests that—aside from brief moments appearing sporadically throughout—is confined to the final twenty minutes. Everything else consists of tedious political maneuvering, technical jargon, and convoluted plots. I actually had to concentrate intensely to avoid missing key details or lines while mentally drifting away during the lengthy stretches of uninteresting content, which was quite a feat given that talented actors are stuck in roles that don’t suit them.
