While there are sections where the story unfolds slowly and the actors aren’t particularly memorable, *‘Gangster’* manages to be a worthwhile movie. The initial concept and how things begin keep your attention, even when the pacing feels a bit too relaxed at times. There's a shift in the narrative that I genuinely didn't see coming – it was handled well. I don't anticipate recalling the performances of Emraan Hashmi (Akash), Kangana Ranaut (Simran) who is appearing for the first time, or Shiney Ahuja (Daya), but their work serves the story adequately; they all seem right for their roles. The film gets bogged down in somberness and musical sequences, and it feels longer than necessary, though the action elements are reasonably entertaining. Ultimately, it's definitely worth watching.
