The movie centers on Elvis Presley portraying an American soldier in Germany who hopes to open his own nightclub and makes a wager that he can charm a German dancer known for being difficult to please. Robert Ivers plays the part of the protagonist's fellow service member. “G.I. Blues,” released in 1960, marked Elvis’ fifth film out of a total of 31 movies he made. The most memorable aspects are the scenes filmed in Germany, the tank sequences, and Juliet Prowse, particularly her two energetic dance numbers. Letícia Román (Tina) and Sigrid Maier (Marla) also appear as female characters. Although this is not one of Elvis’ more well-known films, it possesses a certain charm and provides enjoyable entertainment as an Elvis movie.
